After placing your order, you’ll be directed to a form where you may upload your old resume and/or any evaluations, awards, certificates, DD214, or any other background information you deem important to complete your resume. You will have four entry options to upload your old resume:
After you submit your military resume or background information or old resume, you’ll be prompted to checkout. For you added security, we accept payments online through Pay-Pal’s secure checkout.
A Certified Professional Military Resume Writer (CPMRW) who specializes in your field will then contact you directly within 24hrs, and send you a personalized proprietary questionnaire to gather any additional critical information, to make sure the information you submitted is correct, or glean any additional information that could help your resume stand out. Questionnaires are tailored to each individual client based on work history, and career objective. Upon receipt, we may conduct an in-depth phone interview (upon request) to learn more about you and establish the best way to market your abilities and experience to employers.
Provided that all of your information is available and accurate, the resume-writer will email you a draft product in Microsoft Word file format within the timeframe associated with the package you ordered. The CPMRW will review it with you to be sure it is exactly how you would like it and make any changes that you request. If at any moment within 5 days of receiving your product, you decide there’s something you want to change, something you forgot to include, or simply something you don’t like, you can email the writer directly and make them aware of your concerns; and they will make the necessary changes.
Approve your new resume. Once you are absolutely delighted we will send a final copy via email as a Microsoft Word document unless other arrangements are made with your writer in advance.
A. Yes. We cater to a wide variety of clients. Some become clients several months prior to exiting; some soon after they exit; and others become clients several months or even years after leaving the military. So long as you’ve served in the military at some point, we will create a resume for you. Please select your highest rank achieved while in uniform.
A. Our prices are structured to reflect your level of experience, as that also determines the amount of time our resume-writers would have to dedicate to completing your resume and other items. It is usually also a reflection of where you are in your career: entry level, middle management, or upper level/executive.
A. This is where the benefit of choosing Veteran Career Counseling Services over another resume service that does not specialize in serving veterans is most evident. We understand that while some jobs have civilian equivalents, such as Human Resources, or Mechanics, others are not as easily transferable. For example, there aren’t too many civilian Tank Gunners. Or you may want to pursue a new career track for any number of other personal reasons. Many of our clients fall into one of these two categories. A. You do NOT have to be out of the military to take advantage of our services. It is actually recommended that service members get their military resumes done by a professional at least six months to a year prior to separation.
A. Yes. There are three options to get us your old resume. After placing your order, you can upload it, copy/paste it, or email it directly to your writer after they contact you for follow-up.
A. Absolutely. Most of our clients start from scratch. Our comprehensive background data entry form will guide you through all of the basic information requirements to start your military resume (current/previous employers, education, accomplishments, etc.). You can also upload documents such as NCOERs, OERs, awards, DD214 or any other document you think would help the writer highlight your best qualities and accomplishments. From that point, the military resume writer will review the information you’ve submitted, and contact you directly for any additional information they think will help your resume stand out.
A. Yes. When we say your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed, we mean it. So if you’re unhappy with the military resume your writer provides you with, or if you want to add new information, they will rewrite it as many times as you wish for up to a week of receiving the first draft.
A. Yes. Your military resume or cover letter will be returned to you in MS Word format so you can update it down the road as you apply for different jobs. If you have an older version of Word, we can send it in 2003-2007 as well. If neither of those options work we can also send it in the form of a PDF.
