Shareem Annan has a M.S. in Human Resources and has over 17 years of experience in the human resources field. Her experience ranges from large companies to small, federal to civilian, including working for the U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Army, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aloha Airlines, The University of Virginia, and the Virginia Employment Commission. Many of these years were spent as a stand-out recruiter, however a great deal of her experience was defined by her efforts to get unemployed individuals (both veterans and non-veterans) back into the workforce. As an employee of the Virginia Employment Commission, Shareem was repeatedly recognized for her innovation and excellent service. Her credentials include a B.S. from Howard University, a M.S. in Human Resources from the University of Michigan, a certification in Professional Human Resources (PHR) through the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), Certified Professional Career Coach and Resume Writer by the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches, and DISC Administrator. Her work was recognized in the 2012 publication of SHRM’s nationally publicized news magazine, HR Certified, and she has been featured in articles published by NBC Universal, Veterans Alliance and the Life After Military Podcast. Shareem is also an active board member of the National Resume Writers Association.
Kofi Annan is a service disabled veteran who proudly served in the U.S Army for eight years as a member of the 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Brks, HI, and the 332nd Medical Brigade, Nashville, TN. His military service was highlighted by his deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he was awarded The Army Commendation Medal for his exceptional service. Upon exiting the military, Kofi continued his service to the nation as a federal contractor and a federal civilian employee. During this time he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and was awarded the Joint Civilian Service Achievement Award. He earned a B.S. from Tennessee State University, and a M.S in International Relations from Troy University. He knows what it’s like to go through the uncertain process of transitioning out of the military, and competing for jobs in the civilian sector because he was once in your shoes.
Melissa Orpen-Tuz’s commitment to working with clients on achieving their career goals began while managing youth workforce development programs within the nonprofit sector.
